As part of our camping trip with Dimocks, we went to the North Pole (an amusement park for kids by Colorado Springs.) Emma loved it! She only didn't like the roller coaster (too bumpy) and the swinging rocket ship. She even went on twirly rides without getting sick!
This was the biggest ride she went on. It went way up! She loved it.
The pole is really frozen ice. Walking on a wall (again).
The cats, testing Emma's new PINK sleeping bag before we went
Helping Katie get her boots off so they could play in the tent.
Turns out they were having a big event there. The kids did crafts.
Emma working on her Junior Ranger book at Florissant National Fossil Beds
Getting sworn in as Junior Rangers by Ranger Eva (Emma promptly pointed out just like Wall-E! and said "EVA" just like Wall-E does.)
Elizabeth's favorite -cold water!
Garden of the Gods. Beautiful but hot!
July was very hot for here - lots of days in the 90s (no humidity though!). Emma ran through the fountains at Southlands mall one day with Grandma Debbie.
Emma is still taking gymnastics every week. I finally took my camera a few times.
And swimming lessons twice a week.
Build-a-bear with Elizabeth
Emma spent a week at Grandpa Dan and Grandma Ellen's (by herself!) in August. Grandpa taught her how to shoot at frogs with a squirt gun and catch them in a big net and he took her fishing. Grandma took her to the trails museum and they went to the state fair and the planetarium and a bunch of other stuff. She had a great time!
I think that (finally) catches me up, at least for an overview of summer. I would promise to be better but I probably won't be.
