Day two we started in Animal Kingdom. This was a really great park. They have an Asia section and an Africa section as well as dinosaurs.
This is from their African village.
These are from a safari ride that takes you out in "Jeeps" to see the animals. Pretty neat.
Amazingly, Emma did not buy these. In later shots, notice that she has her full cheetah clothes on for this day!
Can you see the attitude? It was time for lunch.
Lunch! In Asia, of course at Yak and Yeti.
Jungle trek map
Which way do you think we went?
Awesome huge fruit bats!
"Night" was purchased here.
Emma took this picture of this great snake she found near the bats.
The mountain in the background is the Everest roller coaster. Beau didn't ride it this day but he got to ride it twice when we came back. Tallest mountain in Florida (seriously. 200 feet.)
This was the Nemo musical. It was really well done with puppets. It was about 45 minutes long.
Leaving.
After that, we had to head back to the hotel because we were going to the night Christmas party at the Magic Kingdom and needed a rest first.
The night party was really fun because the crowds thinned and we were able to do a lot of rides, etc. with no waiting. We ended up staying until 11:30 because everyone was having so much fun.
Mad Tea Cup ride and Queen
We decided to ride It's a Small World with no lines. Little did we know the boats would break down and we would be stuck in there for an extra 10-15 minutes! They even went backwards for a while!! If you have never been, it is weird puppets singing the song over and over and over through many rooms. This sign is a lie. (Edit: again linked wrong so you can't read it but it says "Welcome to the happiest cruise that ever sailed")
Watching a night stage show
Abu and the Genie from Aladdin
We rode the Aladdin ride 3 times because there were no lines.
The next day, we were completely wiped out. We slept in and went to Epcot late but it is a lot of walking and Emma's enthusiasm was lacking. We hit the highlights and punted the rest since Beau and I have seen it.
Bruce from Nemo at the Aquarium
Pastries in France
Morocco
Emma took this!
USA
Italy
Germany and Mexico
Christmas light display to music
Fun in the shop
OK, I think the next post will be the last. We'll see!
