If you have no interest in our Disney trip, these posts aren't for you. Otherwise, jump right in!
At the airport
We stayed at Shades of Green, right on Disney. Very nice and very handy! This is the view from our room of one of the Disney golf courses. And, of course, the obligatory sign for those not bright enough NOT to feed the alligators! (Weirdly, this photo linked wrong so you can't enlarge it.)
The first night we were there, we went to dinner at the T-Rex restaurant at Downtown Disney. It is great. The dinosaurs are all life-size and move and roar and when a meteor shower goes through, they all react. We highly recommend it.
Full-size T-rex. You can see how big he is relative to the line.
Octopus over the bar
This was the dinosaur at our table
This was the ice cave room,
Our first day was at Magic Kingdom. This was the craziest day as they were taping the "Live" Christmas Parade. We would have avoided it but we had lunch with Cinderella in the castle so it had to be done. Emma even wore her Cinderella dress for it. The first time she has put one on in probably six months.
On the boat:
Going up to lunch:
My favorite picture from the entire trip. This is the anticipation on her face when Aurora was coming!
She also met:
I won't include photos of everyone she met because these posts would never end but some are better than others.
The rest of that day. Fairy Godmother and Ariel
Cool lizard in the line for Ariel that was probably better than meeting Ariel (at least almost)
Emma's absolute favorite was clearly the Stepmother and stepsisters from Cinderella. She chose to go talk to them 3 times during our trip on different days. They were hilarious! Emma laughed and laughed at them.
This is the evil float waiting to go into the parade. Emma loved it! She even got Maleficent and the Evil Queen to talk to her because she was so excited to see them, they noticed her.
Pooh ride with weird Heffalump dream scene
And, very important, we saw Miley Cyrus. Not so much "saw" as "were stuck in a large crowd of people viewing her." Beau is taller and actually could see her but this photo is the best I could do as she was leaving. I know you feel jealous of our encounter.
Tired yet? We were! That was day one. We quit pretty early and went back to the hotel, knowing we would be up late the next night. More to come!
